Lethal Intent by Cara Putman

There is so much to like in this book.  Brandon has a group home that works to keep sibling groups together.  It was enlightening to learn a bit more about that and some of the unique challenges and joys that go along with that.

Caroline is working with a scientific research company that is on the cutting edge of helping kids with leukemia.  Her boss is a little too enthusiastic in trying to push things forward and Caroline is often left pulling back on the reins to get him to slow down and do things right.

As Caroline seeks to understand how this treatment works, things turn sinister.  There’s a lot of suspense as she tries to figure out what  someone is desperately trying to keep secret. It’s a fascinating book with a good balance.  It never feels bogged down with scientific information but gives you a good sense of what is happening.  I enjoyed it.
